Starting Problem

Sounds like a startix problem. It may sound silly but with the key on and the clutch depressed, stomp the floorboard with your right
foot and it the starter engages, you know the startix is bad.

I need help please. My cord refuses to engage the starter when I depress the clutch pedal and can only be started directly from the Startix. The ammeter shows a noticeable discharge when the clutch pedal is depressed like maybe the Startix is sticking . I replaced the clutch switch a couple of years ago with a new one purchased from Stan. Any advice would be much appreciated THANKS!
