Curt Schulze has reproduced the Auburn 851 / 852 tool bog (assume also used on 850). When he bought his Auburn 1936 6 Cylinder Sedan he was lucky enough to find most of an original tool kit in it hidden away behind the rear seat (actually quite a bit of space back there - most people though never think to look though). Prior to this ,Curt and I probably asked a good dozen and a half people if they had an original tool back - and always came up empty handed in our requests.

What is the material that the tool bag is made from? Has anyone reproduced these?

Thanks Dave, this is worth investigating. The Cord bumper jack required a lot of press tooling to make and assemble the parts of the jack mechanism. It does make sense that the jack was used by others however they are very scarce. Peter Kelly tells me he has only seen two at Hershey in ten years.

The tool kit consisted of the following items in a special bag.
Monkey wrench, hammer, screw driver, pliers, wheel cover removing tool ( that actually damaged the covers ) and a spark plug wrench. I believe AC Parts in Kansas carries these tool sets.

What tools came with Cords, I wonder if they were the same as Auburns

Cord Bumper Jack was created by Terry Cockerell
I am trying to find a Cord bumper jack. I know the early Cord bumper jack was a bit of a failure however was that jack used on any
other makes besides the Cord?
Attached is a drawing of the complete jack courtesy of Bruce hanson
