I am yet to fit new grill trim to my Cord which I am currently restoring however for best results the trim is not just pulled around the louvres and fixed with the spring clips, it is slightly curved by hand to sit away from the louvres so that it will sit firmly in place when clipped into final position. I found this to be the case while removing the original trim. I will check it in the garage and post a sketch tomorrow when I have time.

The best answer is very carefully. First get a couple of helpers to support the strips as you are installing them. I start by marking the center of the strip with a piece of tape. I then slide the appropriate number of clips on each side and space them out to the approximate locations. I then start at the front of the fence (center of the strip) and slowly work down, lining up several clips with the holes at a time and pushing one in at a time. It's easy to work down the side. There is a tool to make the bend at the rear of the fence but you can do this carefully by hand. Then work down the other side of the fence.

What is the best way to install the stainless trim on the Cord Louvers. I have new material from Cord Parts Co. Need an advice before I start this. Any help will be appreciated.
