Trying to find the provenance of 2379/SJ-364 was created by Brian R. Peterson
Hi All,

As you may or may not know, the current form of 2379/SJ-364 is not the factory form, however there appears to be little to no provenance as to how the car left the factory wearing Rollston Convertible Victoria coachwork as ordered by Esther Dupont Weir of Wilmington Delaware, and how it became the rather bizarre creation that it is today.

Can anyone fill me in more on the details of the original order, and some of the car's early history if this is available, especially in regards to who, when and why the Rollston coachwork was stripped off the chassis in favor of the current, albeith nameless coachbuilder's "boat tail speedster" coachwork.

I would be greatly in your debt.

Best Regards,

~ Brian

When asked his opinion on the racing cars built by W.O. Bentley, Ettore Bugatti remarked "Le camion plus vite du monde!" ("He builds the world's fastest lorries!")
