Light problem was created by EuroMike
After we have bought our Auburn 851 Phaeton Sedan, we had the problem, that the light bulbs of the car were defect afte very short time. I had the idea to conver to LED lights in order to avoid the trouble but i want to keep the car as original as possible.Last year we  gave the car to our repair shop and asked to check the generator. They found out that the generator was defect and produced votage peaks which destroyed the light bulbs. After overhauling oft he generator the battery always has eunough power to start the car several times a day and no more light bulbs were damaged. In the last 4 years we had to overhaul starter, generator, water pump, wiper motor, steering, ignition and other minor issues. The result is, that the car is much more reliable and now starts and runs without problem. As some of you may know all cars with german registration have to be checked every two years by an independent technical organisation. They check light, brakes, steering, corrosion of frame, tires and many other points. Last month our Auburn passed the check without any problem and is now again street legal until 2026.

regards from Germany

Michael
