Thanks Richard, You should call Jim O'Brian and get the car certified in your name. The certification no. is CL-076.

I believe the L-29 Phaeton use to belong to Bill and Christine Snyder of Cleveland area /St. Augustine area - both incredibly active in CCCA and a wonderful couple ! Bill was Mr. Stutz too and enjoyed every second of knowing him. The Cord was hers and she sold to buy a home in Italy. It should be a really good car.

Hello James, been waiting to hear what other people had to say about your Auburn but not much action. I finished the restoration before Amelia Island 2017 where I took the Amelia Award. I loved the car but sold it to Jim to make room to restore a Packard Speedster. Curt helped me out on a lot of questions that I was not sure of, as a matter of fact Curt showed me with factory photos that the knockoffs were not painted. Sill plates I think are correct but not sure about felt. If you have any questions just email me and maybe I can help. Just bought a 31 Cord L29.

James, I sent you a PM

Either the picture problem is fixed or James is smarter than the rest of us.

Hello, I'm working on a 1931 Auburn 8-98 model phaeton. It has been recently restored and was well done. There are a few details I would like to sort out though.
First, there are no window felts. What would the originals look like and what would you use or where would you get it from? And would it go on both sides of the window?
Secondly, the wheel knockoffs have an Auburn crest on them. It seems as if the background should be blacked out. Does anyone have a good picture of the paint fill details?
Lastly, for now, the aluminum door sill trim has another Auburn crest shape but no "Auburn" inside it. Would this be painted and does anyone have any pictures?
I'm just digging in to the car and im sure Ill find some other details Id like to ask about. And I will post some pictures if I can get them below 2mb.
Thanks for any help.
