White steering wheel(s) Have a part number of F10445 $19.25 . I can't for the life of me remember the name of the gent that owned the Detrich car in sunny California, he used to repair startix's . He passed away about 10 years ago.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Randy,
Back in the fifties Thom Magee of Inglewood CA had a yellow speedster with rear mounted spare. Same car maybe? He also had J-305 and J-530 both of which my dad purchased from him as you no doubt already know.

An early speedster. Notice the plug below the windshield post, possibly for a RV mirror ?

Perhaps this may be of interest.
In todays Swiss Newspaper "New Zürcher Zeitung" (one of the renowned daily Newspaper in Gr man language, founded in 1780) the attached picture - actress Marlene Dietrich in an Auburn Speedster - is shown on its front page. The referenced article has nothing to do with the Dietrich or the car but is about "style"
Regards to all from Switzerland, Mario von Allmen (Auburn 851)
