Duesenberg Starter Bendix Springs was created by hessacres
Broke the Bendix spring on my starter motor on my Model A. After some research discovered it was pretty commonly used. While you will never find one with the Duesenberg part number . Luckly someone on Ebay listed all the cars the spring would fit on.
While it looks just like a Model A Ford spring, it is wound to the left, the Duesenberg spring is wound to the Right. See the attachment for the interchange information, plus it was used on John Deer B, and Case DC & SC tractors. I see it was also used on at least the early J models as well. The manufacture parts numbers are;
Wickwire SS4R (shaft screw W400, head screw W401, lock washer W105)
Bendix F3146
AC Delco 1850812
AutoLite EB-8705
Preferred R11-6X or SS4R
The cost today varies from 15-55$ so look around.

Anyone with other replacement part information for Model A Duesenberg parts please share!
