Sadly, the chain was not the only damage done to that car. After being in many films as a sedan, in the 1980s, the owner decided to "deep six" the original body and have a replica touring car body built instead. The car was up for auction in Monterey this past August. J-255, 2276.

It's hard to say which is more appealing - the girl or the car...
That poor Duesey got driven thru a chain that was stretched across the garage doorway and busted it right off! I wonder if it did any damage?

Just watching "Some Like It Hot" The bad guys drive a Duesenberg into a garage and Machine gun some other wise guys. If that doesn't interest you there is a girl named Marilyn that might.
