Can you imagine walking out the door of the office to have to give it a split second thought about what Duesenberg is yours verses someone else = Like the row of Honda Prius's or ... today ?

Randy, excellent catch on the rear fender trim - I always thought they were the same car via probably same/similar color and parked on same drive with same wall behind.

The fellow is Conrad Nagel

And Yes, Lupe Velez was married to Johnny Weissmuller

Hi Randy,
Do you happen to have a factory photo of J-449? Would the coachwork have been similar to J-512?

When asked his opinion on the racing cars built by W.O. Bentley, Ettore Bugatti remarked "Le camion plus vite du monde!" ("He builds the world's fastest lorries!")

Also, engine J-419 out of the boat ended up being sold to Jot Horne. (the "e" is silent) Jot put it into a Bonneville record making ford roadster. What ever became of that engine?
Great story here:

Also, it looks like the car was parted out by A.K. Barbee, VP and co owner of the Los Angeles Coca COla bottling company. He put this engine, and the engine from J-419 into a boat.

Does anyone have any pictures of the boat?

Well, some research turns up more info. It looks like the engine from Tarzans J ended up in the Nethercutt collection. Here are some pics I took in 2013:

Even if he does wear a skirt, I still wouldn't want to tangle with him. (:
