President’s Message
Cameron Petersen, president@acdclub.org
Hello again, friends!
As you may have heard, this year is the year of the Century Car. If you’re still a little unsure what that means, let me explain it one more time — mainly because we reallllllly want you to bring your eligible cars and earn this very cool badge for your car (and some serious bragging rights with your car friends).
Here’s how it works: every year, from 2026 through 2038, we’ll award a special badge to any car that attends a sanctioned meet and matches the year of manufacture. Sanctioned events include the Eastern Spring Meet, the West Coast Meet, and the Labor Day Reunion.
For example, in 2030, any ACD vehicle built in 1930 that attends a sanctioned meet will receive one of these badges.
This year is the one and only exception. In 2026, if you bring any car built between 1903 and 1926 to any of the three sanctioned events, you’ll be eligible to receive the badge.
Mid-restoration? Running chassis? Fully restored? Bring it. We want to see it.
Starting in 2027, we’ll move forward year by year, beginning with 1927 vehicles and beyond. So, this year is your only chance to bring those very early cars and earn this special badge.
We want to see you this year — and every year after.
I can’t wait to see you all!
