President’s Message

Hello friends and family of the ACD Club,
I recently attended the Eastern Spring Meet, where we awarded the very first Century Car Badge to Tom Lee, for his 1909 Auburn. It was wonderful to see such an old car being driven by such an old guy… I kid, I kid. Tom’s barely old at all!
All joking aside, it’s truly special to have a club member willing to bring out a vehicle of that age, drive it, share it with everyone and help preserve such an important piece of automotive history. It was equally exciting to present the first Century Car Badge and officially kick off this initiative. One down, and many more to go!
If you own an Auburn or Duesenberg built in 1926 or earlier, be sure to bring it to the Labor Day Reunion, or the West Coast Meet, and become part of the Century Car Badge Club.
The Board has a number of projects in the works, and we’re doing our best to be both efficient and transparent as we move them forward. One of those projects is the Photo Display Car at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum. The finish line is in sight and the big reveal will take place during Labor Day weekend! If you’d like to be there when the curtain comes off, be sure to attend the Friday evening event at the museum. We’re incredibly excited about this project and can’t wait to share it with all of you.
As always, if you have thoughts, concerns, suggestions, or even a good story to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m easy to find and always happy to visit.
Get those cars ready, put a few miles on them, and let’s have some fun!
Cheers to you and yours,
