Quite a few 810 812 Cords were sold in France. Some of these were eventually fitted with Citroen engines.
I believe there was also an agency in Switzerland. One Cord phaeton was sold from the Swiss agency into Greece. This car still exists. It was buried in a bunker near Athens during WW2 to keep it safe.
I have been trying to find a picture that shows the dealerships across Europe which were extensive.
In Cord Complete on page 188 there is a picture of a Westchester in a race in Bern, Switzerland in 1938
I'm located in Australia.

it seemed o me they copied many of Cords streamlining in the VW

I don't think so. Ferdinand Porsche who constructed the VW in the late 1930s, constructed a similar design for Mercedes Benz earlier. The "130H" was sold from 1934 on:

Indeed there was a company advertising the Cord 810 in Vienna, Austria.
In Germany, the Cord L-29 was advertised by dealers in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin.
See attachments.

Does anybody know more about Cords initially sold in Germany or neighboring countries?
Any information is highly appreciated, as my 812 and I live in Northern Germany.

Cords in Germany and Austria was created by Terry Cockerell
Over the past fifteen years as a member of the ACD Club I have not seen much material published on Cords sold in Germany or Austria. After having an article on my own Cord published in the English PreWarCar magazine, the readers comments contained the following film, as well as other advertising material.
It appears Cords were advertised in Estonia by the Auburn dealer but none were sold there.
The film crew in the Cord appear three times .................. at the following intervals 1.13, 1.28 and 1.39
It is amazing where Cords have turned up.
