Hi Matties. We have a 1928 8-90. The engine is painted green. I have a lot of pictures if you still need this information.

If it goes into a 28–29 it is supposed to be brown. Not green. They started painting them green in the last months of 1929 and 1930.
plasti-kote Engine Enamel Cummins Beige No. 233 is the correct color

NO, Iit is custom mixed to match some NOS parts I had. It is on a phaeton I own that made best Auburn one year at the ACD festival .

I think it will be the same color.

If 28-29 is the same green as 34-36, I have the correct paint.

Good day,
we are rebuilding a Lycoming straigth 8 engine from a 1928 / 1929 Auburn.
My question about it:
What color were the engines painted at that time ?
Thanks a lot.
With kind regards
Kai Matthies
