$1 in 1949 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $12.52 today, the pay was in cents, it was another old junk car and new cars were being produced at a breakneck speed, explain to the wife, on a car that did not run.
The U.S. dollar has lost 92% its value since 1949
Cumulative price change 1,150.89%
Average inflation rate 3.52%
Converted amount ($100 base) $1,250.89.
This is a Graham for body parts.

. I do have the 1937 parts price list from Auburn. I needed a switch my Beverly did not come with back in 1961. One club member offered me a NOS dash instrument light switch for $500.00... I found the switch in my catalog. It was sold by Auburn for 95 cents. They purchased it for 19 cents from their supplier...... Everyone in intitled to make a profit.... I was able to purchase a switch in 2021 from Bill Bicknell.... Great guy doing some amazing work on the restoration of the 36 37 Cords.
