I bought three lighter sockets from a Cord guy a while back. He indicated they were Cord. The sockets I bought fit 34-36 Auburn. Can this be substantiated ?

Terry your socket bezel appears correct as does the Earhart Bezel. I need the actual determining part numbers for the socket. The 36 did not have the pop out when ready option. Only the 37 cars had the pop out when ready option.

Gary in case you didn't notice I had updated my previous posting. The bezel on my lighter socket appears to be the same as that in the Earhart phaeton.
I can measure it up if you want .

The Earhart Cigar lighter appears to be a reproduction. Its very nice looking too. I wish I could have looked closer at it during the best of show judging at Auburn a few years ago..

The JBS Collection, which owns Amelia Earhart's 812 Cord,
has some excellent photos of the dash on her vehicle.

My 812 just has a small ring, nothing as ornate as depicted on Earhart's Cord.

Gary I don't have any separate pictures of mine. I see in the Parts Book page 30 the Cigar Lighter is described in detail but I'm not sure if it includes the socket in the dash board.
It appears mine has the same bezel as the Amelia Earhart phaeton. The attached picture was taken before I made and fitted the correct cigar lighter knob. I also kept the original and worn dash board panel as it as "seen" all of the occupants from day one.
The guys at Lavine Restorations did a magnificent job restoring Amelia Earhart's phaeton. Thanks for the pictures Jack.

Can anyone describe or explain what the dash piece for our cigar lighters is or are numbered? I have been looking for a fellow Cord owner and have NOT found anything definitive...I have two that look identical from the passenger compartment but from behind the dash they are different. I'm not sure my 37 Beverly came with a correct dash holder either because I purchased a NOS from Felix with an original lighter many years back. Thanks for any help I can pass along.
