They seem to be QUITE POPULAR!:shock:mikespeed35 wrote: The dawson plugs are used in 35-36 Auburn Speedsters. There are different ones depending on the slope of the body where they are installed. They are probably used on 31-33 Speedsters also.
CORDially Mike
I have had a number of people inquire about them.

31-32-33 Auburn rear bumper plates and trim?
There are three dawson plugs which are used in 20's-30's open cars that did not have roll up windows.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Hello,
the item (marked J-125) in the first picture could(would be a Duesenberg Model J engine "Chaincase lower cover". In the Model J Parts List, the Part No. for that part is "J-125".
Have you checked if there is a No. stamped aswell on the item in second picture?
Cheers

There are not any numbers stamped into the part, and as you can see the part is not 'finished' (I.E. bolt holes, etc) so it is either a copy of an existing part, or possibly one purchased from Mr. Ema.
THANK YOU for identifying it!

And the chromed bumper brackets are definitely bumper brackets, but I dont know the exact year. The black brackets besides of these could also be parts of leaf spring shackles?
Andreas
Thanks for the reply- I bet you are right about the items being rear leaf spring shackles. I was thinking the rears were the same design as the front spring shackles (with the bolts swedged into the side plate) but I am wrong <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt="" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: --> also, the ones "I" have are rusty and ugly unlike the ones pictured!

Cabriolet rear window frame?
We know the brass door handles are for an Auburn. unfinished, are they worth anything?
