Curt & Chris:
I appreciate your advise on this AC Auction speedster.
I have wanted an Original boattailed speedster all my life.
Should have bought one twenty years ago !
I have just activly started my search~~
Usually I attend both AC Auction events every year as I only live less than 100 miles away.
It might be fun to go and inspect this speedster in person anyway~

BUT~
If it is NOT an original~~~ I am not interested; and will not be bidding !
No "Clones" or reproduction put-together cars for me !

My speedster education has now begun.
I had figured that if anyone knew about this speedster it would be your great Club's forum members !

Did Dean Kruse own this "Speedster" ?
I know he had been involved in many assembled clone cars over the decades~

One Question~
What value do the twelve cylinder models have compared to the other engine type ?

I would rather buy an older restored car , or an original driver as I like to DRIVE all my cars on a regular basis.

Again I appreciate your tips and information !

Thank's Again !

Brad, this appears to be the same car that was in the Kruse Museum in Auburn for several years.

Curt's advice cannot be seconded or underscored enough. Also always but always ask for ACD Club Certification paperwork when looking at any car for sale. Our team isn't perfect, but they're close. The suggestion about Certification paperwork goes for any ACD car of any variety, from six-cylinder Auburns to Duesenbergs.

See the post linked below for more information regarding the speedster you're inquiring of.

I cannot emphasize strongly enough of the care and research that must be taken when considering a purchase of an Auburn 12 speedster. Are you a member of the ACD Club? If not, I would suggest joining, then start doing your home work.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Be of Good Cheer

32 Speedster at AC Classics Auction was created by silverghost
I just received an auction "Tease card" for the Feb 18 Atlantic City NJ "Classics at the Trump" auction.

They have a 1932 Auburn V12 boattail speedster listed on the card~

This speedster is black with radical yellow trim and a red stripe.
Wide whitewalls and Woodlites .
LaLique reproduction hood mascot.

Does anyone know any history on this speedster; or any more info ?

There was no other info on the "auction tease" card and they seem to be looking for more consignments.
Their WWGauctons.com website had nothing more on this car or their Feb 18th auction.

I have NO connection to this auction & am NOT a car dealer !

I have just started my seach for an Auburn Boattailed speedster~
Do you know of any that might be for sale?
Older restoration, or original driver is what I seek. Will also consider project if complete !

I am a new ACD Forum member; but have owned and been around Full Classics and Brass-Era cars for 50+ years !

Any info on speedster appreciated ~
Thank's
BRAD
