Yes, that is true. It is very difficult to determine the position / angle of the
mercury man on a flat cap. I am not the one doing the casting. This what I am told. The upper portion cut off at the legs would be cast as one piece and the cap and lower portion of the leg as another, then bonded together.

Curt is it the top you need or the underside if it is the underside it is the same as the regular stant cap . Randy

I am looking for a broken 1931 - 1933 Mercury Man radiator cap.
A friend that does casting is in need of a original base. He has reproductions but the required detail is not there.
