Prints are available from Story Sloane III at Sloane Gallery. They have thousands of images, many of which have not yet been digitized. I'll be visting with them in a week or so to see what they have.
I'll also just became aware of a photo archive of over 500,000 historic Texas images at UT.

I was researching another topic and stubmled on this in a historic Houston photo archive. Lots of other tantalizing car photos too.

Last I heard it was in Imperial Palace.
Brad - my uncle was Hollis Bounds and ran a used car lot in Tulsa from after the war until the 1370's. He owned the Mix cord for a while - usuing it to get publicity for his lot.

Hmmm I know I saw the Cord in that museum so it must have been the car of which you speak. Now that I think harder about it I do remember it being an open car. I just assumed it would be his car and never really thought much about it before.
Glad to see the museum is still kicking!
Thanks,
Justin

The Tom Mix Museum is alive and well and has their annual festival this year on September 24, 2011 in Dewey, OK. Of course, as most museums go, they need all the help they can get!
I believe the museum that you saw the Tom Mix Phaeton in was the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas. The only yellow Cord that has been in Dewey is a Cabriolet from Enid, OK.

I remember seeing that car as a young kid in the Tom Mix Museum in Dewey, OK. It is my first memory of the Cord 810/812. I guess since the car is no longer there the museum is also no longer there? Does anyone know what happened?

TOM MIX was created by Brad Waken
For all the Western Hero fans, I visited the Tom Mix 812 Phaeton in Wellington, Kansas last week. The car started a full restoration last year and has been completely disassembled and is on it's way back. We should see this historically significant (and show quality!) car in the near future!
I will post pictures later. Any pictures or information on the car is always welcome!
