So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
Chris and Rocky Go for a Ride was created by Chris Summers
Last week I had the privilege of finally meeting, face-to-face and in-person for the first time, former Club member Rocky Voss. Rocky has been collecting Duesenberg information for over 35 years, and was one of the people responsible for getting me started in this nonsense.
Thanks to the generosity of Bill Powell, Rocky and I were able to tour the O'Quinn Classic Car Collection. The highlight of the tour was a trip around the block, chauffeured by Bill, in J-391/2315, the Murphy Convertible Torpedo Berline once owned by Tyrone Power. This car was once part of the Nethercutt, Harrah's, Joe Folladori, and Imperial Palace collections, and was featured in "Road & Track" back in the late Fifties.
This was the first ride in a Duesenberg for both myself and Rocky.
Two very happy Duesenberg nuts.
