It appears that this car (and probably others) were returned to the factory for supercharger installation. I'm wondering if the factory also updated engine internals such as tubular rods etc. I'm not trying to cast any doubts on the provenance of this wonderful car just curious.

So if this car is original., does that mean that painted wire wheels were correct in some cases?
